Grouplove - "Tongue Tied"

This is such a fun party tune! It sounds like it could be from SG/Cuts (?) I heard it on CBC last week and it's really got stuck in my head. Grouplove is a band that formed by friends who met in an artist retreat on the island of Crete. How cool is that? Longevity likely isn't in the cards, but this one definitely make me want you to "take me to your best friends house' and have a great party.

Slow Magic - "Corvette Cassette"

Counting down, from 5th to the last, last song that didn't make Summer Guide 12 or its flow-over companion compilation Summer Cuts 12, here's #5.

Such a great track, made even better (which is unusual) by the video.

Youth Lagoon - Daydream

Youth Lagoon is a one man project from San Diego CA. AKA Trevor Powers he brings an atmospheric electronic vibe to the emo/indie sound. This track is from his 2011 album "Year of Hibernation" on Fat Possum Records.
